Noisemote

INTELLIGENT NOISE MONITORING

Noisemote is a continuous noise monitoring system with a cloud-based platform for real-time visualization of data collected by compact and easy-to-install sensors. Applications include traffic monitoring, noise pollution management in urban areas, and industrial environments. Noisemote monitoring units comply with IEC 61672 Class I specifications for linearity and frequency response.

CPX – Close ProXimity

TYRE/ROAD NOISE MEASUREMENT

Blue Wave performs acoustic surveys using the Close ProXimity (CPX) method in accordance with UNI EN ISO 11819-2:2017, to characterize tyre/road interaction noise. Our certified instrumented trailer is equipped with a Class I (IEC 61672) multichannel measurement chain and P1 tyres (SRTT, ISO/TS 11819-3), enabling precise measurement and georeferencing of LCPX levels on both wheel tracks.

The LCPX measurement is essential to evaluate the acoustic performance of road pavements, as required by the new CAM Strade Decree (Minimum Environmental Criteria, Ministerial Decree 5 August 2024), which sets limit values for categories A, B, and D roads, and for sections subject to Noise Containment and Reduction Plans (PCAR). The CPX method can also be applied to test tracks with trial mixtures.

COLLABORATIONS

AJUNTAMENT DE BARCELONA

BlueWave collaborated with the City of Barcelona to monitor the acoustic quality of the urban environment. The company currently manages the smart acoustic monitoring systems and their integration into the city’s IT infrastructure.

“Barcelona, like every city in the world, is a soundscape. People, businesses, traffic, and biodiversity are sources of sounds and noises that shape the urban space. The City Council is committed to improving the city’s sound quality by implementing a wide range of measures. We all generate noise and, at the same time, we can all contribute to reducing it.”

LIFE DYNAMAP

BlueWave is a partner in the LIFE+ Dynamap project, aimed at developing a dynamic mapping system capable of detecting and representing in real time the acoustic impact of road infrastructures.

MON ACUMEN

Blue Wave contributed to the MONitorage Actif Conjoint Urbain-MaritimE de la Nuisance (MON ACUMEN) project for the joint monitoring of urban and maritime noise. The initiative aimed to reduce the acoustic impact in major commercial ports (Livorno, La Spezia, Cagliari, and Bastia), through the development of a shared methodology for acoustic description and noise detection, and the co-design of an integrated monitoring system.

DECIBEL

BlueWave collaborated in the DECIBEL project, focused on the acoustic remediation of urban and island port areas. The project addresses the challenge of improving territorial connectivity and the sustainability of port activities, as well as natural and cultural resources. DECIBEL also aims to enhance the sustainability of commercial ports and logistics platforms in terms of reducing noise pollution.
